Full job description

This is an open contract position, and please note this is not a salaried role.

The primary role of the Field Service Technician is to assess, diagnose, and repair or replace electronic equipment at customer locations.

You will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals who prioritize customer satisfaction, make informed decisions, achieve results, navigate uncertainty, and display resilience in their work.

Your qualifications include:

- Conducting tests on electronic devices to identify issues

- Efficiently troubleshooting a variety of devices while prioritizing customer satisfaction and cost-effectiveness

- Replacing various components of equipment and providing training to customers on how to use them

- Installing and upgrading software while also offering training to users

- Keeping an accurate inventory of all new, used, and returned equipment

- Responding to on-site service requests within a 4-hour service level agreement (SLA)

Education and other requirements:

- A diploma in electronics or equivalent experience, which may be accepted in lieu of formal education

- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to computing, email, networks, or point of sale terminals (POS)

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check

- Flexibility to work shifts, including availability during weekdays and occasional weekends or after hours.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
