Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Banquet Server/Porter to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services during events, ensuring smooth operation of banquet functions, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food service and hospitality industry while delivering memorable experiences to our guests.

Duties

  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner during banquets and events
  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations
  • Assist with food handling, presentation, and replenishment throughout events
  • Clear tables and assist with cleanup after events to maintain a clean dining environment
  • Provide guest services by addressing inquiries, accommodating special requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards
  • Support event staff with porter duties such as transporting supplies, equipment, and linens as required
  • Maintain cleanliness of service areas, storage spaces, and banquet rooms before, during, and after events

Skills

  • Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
  • Ability to serve guests efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during special events as needed
