Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently using Clearent.
  • Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) and dental records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls to appropriate team members and managing appointment reminders.
  • Assist with administrative duties including filing, faxing, and correspondence to support smooth office operations.
  • Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate patient flow, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care enhances communication accuracy.
  • Experience as a dental receptionist or in a front desk role within a healthcare setting is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for managing electronic medical records and office tasks.
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in busy office environments, including handling medical or dental records and billing processes.
