Are you passionate about inclusion and excited to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they build confidence, learn new skills, and work toward their goals? Join us at Melly’s — a registered charity and social enterprise where community, great coffee, and personal growth come together.

We will be offering a Summer Program in Port Hope for Teens with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities that want to pursue employment after graduation. • Thrive in dynamic environments where no two days are the same
  • Are a natural communicator and “people person”
  • Stay calm under pressure and bring a patient, positive attitude
  • Are passionate about creating inclusive spaces and opportunities
  • Take initiative, lead by example, and follow through
  • Bonus points if you have a love for coffee!

This role is especially great for someone building a career in teaching, social work, disability support, or coaching/training.

As a Learning and Development Coach, you will:

  • Deliver customized training sessions using our Interactive Workplace Program
  • Lead hands-on activities based on lesson plans — such as baking, merchandising, cleaning, and health & safety
  • Provide consistent guidance, encouragement, and positive feedback
  • Monitor progress and prepare daily reports for the Program Manager
  • Support participants in developing both workplace and social/emotional skills
  • Be a champion of inclusion and empowerment at every step of the program

  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
  • Valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and legally entitled to work in Canada.

Qualifications:

· Experience working in a café or restaurant or retail role

· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products

· A demonstrated history of work experience with team lead, supervisory, training or coaching responsibilities
