Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ladieswear Import Coordinator to manage the production process from purchase order through final shipment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in working with overseas apparel factories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage production from PO confirmation through shipment and delivery.
  • Coordinate with overseas factories, suppliers, design, technical and logistics teams.
  • Maintain production calendars and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Follow up on fabrics, trims, lab dips, fit samples, PP samples and approvals.
  • Monitor cutting, sewing, finishing, packing and inspections.
  • Identify delays or quality issues early and implement solutions.
  • Manage quality control, shortages, defects and production discrepancies.
  • Review factory capacity and production schedules.
  • Negotiate and monitor production costs and manufacturing charges.
  • Coordinate ocean and air shipments, including bookings, ETDs and ETAs.
  • Review shipping and customs documentation.
  • Maintain accurate production reports and provide regular status updates.
  • Ensure factories meet quality, compliance and supply-chain requirements.
  • Maintain strong factory relationships while holding suppliers accountable for performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of apparel production experience, preferably in ladieswear.
  • Strong knowledge of woven and knit garment construction.
  • Experience working directly with overseas factories, particularly in China and Bangladesh.
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, garment manufacturing, testing and quality control.
  • Experience managing multiple styles and large purchase orders.
  • Knowledge of international shipping and apparel supply chains.
  • Strong Excel, organization, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems quickly.
