Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Service Plumber/Gasfitter tech to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and plumbing and gas heating systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. As a key member of our service team, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of plumbing systems while providing exceptional customer service. Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas heating systems according to industry standards and safety regulations
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete installations and repairs
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during job assignments
  • Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions using schematic diagrams and technical manuals
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
  • Assist in the assembly of plumbing components and related fixtures as required
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed for client documentation and compliance purposes

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Journeyman Service Plumber or Gasfitter with valid certification/license
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in hydronic heating systems, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics in construction or service environments
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods
  • Prior background in construction or maintenance work is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to plumbing, gas fitting, and general construction practices
