Full job description

Jessco Metal Works Inc. has been providing welding and custom fabrication services since 1991. We work with a wide variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, checker plate, expanded metal, tubing, bar, pipe and more.

We are currently seeking an experienced Pipe Welder/Fitter who is also capable of performing bench welding. The successful candidate will have strong experience with MIG and TIG welding, be able to work from blueprints, and produce high-quality welds in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
  • Fit, fabricate, and weld pipe assemblies according to project requirements.
  • Perform both pipe welding and bench welding.
  • Weld carbon steel and stainless steel using MIG and TIG processes.
  • Prepare, align, and assemble components prior to welding.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Canadian passport and ability to travel to the U.S. without restrictions.
  • Must be available to travel as required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pipe Welder/Fitter.
  • Extensive experience with MIG and TIG welding is required.
  • Experience with both pipe fitting and bench welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong fabrication and layout skills.
  • Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.Compensation and Benefits:
  • $30.00–$40.00 per hour (based on experience)
