About Level Up Music School
Level Up Music School is one of Midtown Toronto’s most vibrant and fast-growing music communities. We’re currently seeking a dedicated Voice & Piano Teacher to join our team starting part-time (2–3 days/week), with a clear path to build toward full-time in a short period as your roster fills. You’ll guide students of all ages to discover the joy of music, from their first song to the stage.
Who You Are
- You’re a seasoned teacher who’s passionate, dependable, and ready to grow with a great team
- You know your craft, but you also know that great teaching is about connection, patience, and progress.
- You’re confident, but humble enough to keep learning. You understand that students thrive when their teacher leads with clarity, consistency, and care.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven teaching experience: You’ve taught voice and/or piano consistently (privately or at a school) and you know how to keep students inspired and accountable.
- Strong stylistic versatility: You’re comfortable teaching modern voice/piano (Pop, Rock, R&B, etc.). Bonus if you can also teach classical foundations, jazz basics, or contemporary improvisation.
- Healthy technique + musicality: You can coach tone, breath/support, pitch, rhythm, ear training, and musical expression without overcomplicating it. On piano, you can build solid reading, chord fluency, and practical accompaniment skills.
- Performance coaching: We run concerts and open mics year-round. You understand stage prep, rehearsal structure, and how to get students ready with confidence
- A collaborative mindset: You work well with colleagues, respect structure, and contribute positively to a shared teaching environment.
- Reliability and integrity: This role carries real responsibility, students and families rely on your consistency, professionalism, and communication.
- Focus on long-term student growth + retention: You take pride in keeping students engaged, motivated, and excited to return each week.
Schedule & Growth
- Our school operates Monday to Friday (11:00 am–9:00 pm) and Saturdays (10:00 am–4:00 pm), with Sundays off.
- We’ll work with you to create a schedule that fits both your availability and student demand.
What We Provide
- Steady student flow, we handle all marketing, registration, and billing.
- Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing teacher training.
- Ready-to-use curriculum and lesson materials (with room for your own style).
- Admin and scheduling support so you can focus on teaching.
- Consistent, year-round pay via direct deposit, even in summer.
- A beautiful studio environment and supportive community.
What You’ll Enjoy
- A steady schedule with full-time potential.
- A supportive, growth-oriented team that values teachers as much as musicians.
- A culture that rewards commitment and creativity.
- Admin and materials support, you teach, we handle the rest.
If you’re a seasoned teacher who’s passionate, dependable, and ready to grow with a great team, we’d love to meet you.
Send your resume, a short note about your teaching philosophy, and any performance clips that showcase your versatility.
