Full job description
Alison Dawn Voice & Music is look for a trained piano player to teach private lessons to children and adults in our studio located at 122 Hampton Rd in Rothesay.
This is an in-person, part-time position. Our students range in age from 4 years old through adulthood. The contract runs from Sept 2026-June 2027 with eligibility to renew for the following summer and school year.
The schedule requires a minimum of a 4 hour weekly commitment between the hours of 2-8pm on weekdays or 9am-3pm on Saturdays, but we can be flexible. Up to 4 full shifts are available, with a full student roster. There will be full studio classes and concerts six times a year for which participation will also be required.
Formal training in piano playing is required. Ideally, we are looking for RCM grade 6+ playing ability or equivalent. We do not require the certificate, a music or teaching degree/diploma, but they are considered huge assets.
We handle scheduling, student recruitment, payments from families, and the coordination of recitals and rehearsals for you. All you need to do is be on time to teach and everything else will be taken care of. We will also provide any teaching tools and resources you feel you need to be successful.
Compensation begins at $30/hour or higher, reflective of the successful candidate's experience and training.
