Join our dynamic culinary team as a Breakfast Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine every morning. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and executing high-quality breakfast dishes—including eggs, pancakes, and Benedicts—while maintaining consistency, speed, and presentation in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise in food preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations will help deliver a smooth, efficient, and memorable breakfast service that sets the tone for our guests’ day.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes including eggs (poached, sunny-side), pancakes, and Eggs Benedict.
  • Execute all dishes with precision, consistency, and strong attention to presentation and timing during high-volume service.
  • Cook fresh pasta dishes such as carbonara, rigatoni, and other menu items with consistency and proper technique.
  • Manage protein station, including cooking steaks, veal, fish, and other proteins to proper doneness and presentation standards.
  • Operate fryer station, preparing sides such as potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and other fried items with accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of egg cookery, including poaching, frying, and plating techniques.
  • Follow established recipes and menu specifications while contributing creative touches when appropriate.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced brunch/lunch service while maintaining high standards.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and timely service during busy morning hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
  • Support training of new staff on breakfast techniques, station setup, and kitchen standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably on hot line stations (eggs, pasta, fryer, or protein).
  • Strong experience with breakfast cookery, especially egg preparation and high-volume service.
  • Proven ability in food preparation within a restaurant or similar culinary environment; fine dining experience is an asset.
  • Strong knife skills and solid understanding of meal preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working early morning shifts.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Passion for cooking and creating high-quality, consistent dishes.
