Full job description
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how:
- Conceptualize, design, and produce engaging graphics for print and digital channels, including social media, presentations and templates, posters, signage, event materials, banners, emails, and invitation visuals.
- Support corporate communication design initiatives across the organization, creating materials for Team Members, Dealers, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, provide creative guidance, and recommend effective and practical design solutions.
- Manage multiple design projects and ad hoc requests simultaneously, prioritizing work and managing timelines to deliver high-quality creative within tight deadlines.
- Ensure all creative materials align with Home Hardware’s brand standards, strategies, and objectives across all communication channels.
- Support corporate events by developing dimensional displays, trade exhibit materials, and environmental design concepts, including coordinating installations as required.
- Assist with photo sourcing, image editing, content formatting, and other production design needs.
- Collaborate with external partners, including translators, print vendors, and agencies, to coordinate projects and deliverables.
- Provide occasional support with video production and filming at corporate events, as required.
- College Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Three to five years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within a corporate environment.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical graphic design capabilities across print and digital channels.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, in a Mac or PC environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work within established brand guidelines while bringing creativity and fresh thinking to design projects.
- Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and tight production deadlines.
- Strong communication and advisory skills, with the ability to understand stakeholder needs, respond constructively to feedback, and recommend alternative solutions when needed.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities, multiple rounds of edits and approvals, and a high volume of ad hoc requests.
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak periods, as required.
- Photography experience is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting video production and filming is considered an asset and may be required from time to time.
- Ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
- The expected starting salary range for this role is $57,600 - $75,600; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
