Full job description

At Lil Angels Photography, we believe picture day should feel joyful, calm, and a little magical.

With 30+ years of experience and partnerships with thousands of schools across North America, we are expanding in Canada this fall and are looking for a Photographer to join our team.

This role is perfect for someone who is not only a strong photographer, but who truly loves working with young children ages 0–5. We are looking for someone warm, patient, playful, and confident — someone who can create beautiful portraits while helping little ones feel comfortable, safe, and celebrated.

If you know how to make a shy toddler smile, keep a busy morning moving smoothly, and create consistent, polished images, we’d love to meet you.

What the role looks like

As our Regional Photography Lead, you will lead picture day sessions at schools in the area. You’ll be the on-site photography lead, helping create a fun, organized, child-friendly experience for school teams, families, and little ones.

**Equipment is provided, including set/camera/gear and more!**
Valid drivers license and person vehicle required.

Your first two weeks will include paid hands-on training, where you will shadow two of our senior photographers across 10 school picture days to learn our process, flow, and quality standards.

Schedule

  • Pay: CA$180/day
  • Typical schedule is 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Weekday morning availability is required
  • Season begins mid September 21st; virtual training begins August.

What you’ll do

  • Lead school picture day sessions on-site
  • Photograph infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-K children
  • Create beautiful, consistent portraits using provided equipment
  • Help little ones feel comfortable with a calm, playful approach
  • Set up and break down photography equipment
  • Keep picture day running smoothly, efficiently, and professionally
  • Communicate warmly and respectfully with school staff
  • Represent Lil Angels with professionalism, positivity, and heart

What we’re looking for

  • Strong photography skills, especially portrait photography
  • A genuine love for working with children ages 0–5
  • Warm, upbeat, patient personality
  • Ability to lead the flow of a session with confidence and kindness
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Punctual, dependable, and professional
  • Comfortable lifting and transporting photography equipment
  • Experience working with children, schools, or in early childhood settings is a major plus
  • School photography experience is a plus, but not required for the right person

Why join Lil Angels?

  • Paid training
  • Equipment provided
  • Consistent weekday morning schedule
  • Opportunity to grow with an expanding company
  • Support from an experienced, people-first team
  • A role that blends creativity, leadership, and meaningful work with children

At Lil Angels, we care deeply about the experience we create — not just the photos themselves. We’re looking for someone who brings both technical skill and heart to the job.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

To apply, please send your resume and/or portfolio.
