Join One of Canada's Leading Print Manufacturing Companies

Advertek is expanding to Burlington and is looking for an experienced Noritsu Operator to join our growing production team.

Working in our professional photo production department, you'll operate advanced Noritsu digital photo printing equipment to produce high-quality photographic prints, enlargements, and specialty photo products. This role requires strong attention to detail, colour accuracy, and a commitment to producing exceptional image quality for photographers, artists, businesses, and consumers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor Noritsu professional photo printing equipment to produce high-quality photographic prints.
  • Process a variety of photo products including prints, enlargements, and specialty photo applications.
  • Review job tickets, digital files, and production specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform colour adjustments and quality checks to maintain consistent print quality.
  • Monitor print output for colour accuracy, density, sharpness, and overall image quality.
  • Troubleshoot print quality issues and make machine adjustments as required.
  • Manage workflow priorities to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate any production issues to management.
  • Work closely with Prepress, Digital Printing, Finishing, and Shipping teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating Noritsu digital photo printers or professional photo lab equipment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of colour management and digital image reproduction.
  • Experience with photographic printing, RIP software, and image processing workflows is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on colour accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve production issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
  • Experience with other digital printing technologies is considered an asset.
