My Home Handyman(soon to be Tru Trades) is one of Calgary's fast-growing residential renovation and home services companies. We specialize in bathroom renovations, kitchens, basements, decks, fences, and a wide range of professional home services.

We're growing quickly, investing heavily in our brand, and looking for a talented, hands-on Digital Marketing Specialist to help drive our next stage of growth.

This isn't a position where you'll spend your days sitting in meetings discussing marketing ideas. We're looking for someone who can turn ideas into action, launch campaigns, create great content, and deliver measurable results.

You'll work directly with the owner, have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas, and play a key role in shaping the future of the Tru Trades brand.

What You'll Be Doing

Meta Advertising (Facebook & Instagram)

• Create, launch, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns.
• Develop compelling ad creative, messaging, and audience targeting strategies.
• Monitor campaign performance, cost per lead, conversions, and return on advertising spend.
• Test new campaigns, audiences, and creative approaches to continuously improve results.
• Develop lead-generation campaigns that turn advertising dollars into real business opportunities.

Google Ads & Digital Marketing

• Assist with managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns.
• Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve lead quality and advertising efficiency.
• Coordinate with outside advertising partners when required.
• Help track marketing performance across multiple channels.

Content Creation & Social Media

• Create engaging social media content featuring our projects, people, and services.
• Produce before-and-after content, short-form videos, reels, and promotional graphics.
• Coordinate project photography, video shoots, and customer testimonials.
• Manage social media posting schedules and brand consistency.
• Develop creative ideas that help Tru Trades stand out in a competitive market.

Email Marketing & Customer Engagement

• Build and execute email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and seasonal promotions.
• Develop customer re-engagement and follow-up campaigns.
• Assist with email automation and customer retention initiatives.
• Track campaign performance and continually improve engagement.

SEO & Website Marketing

• Work closely with our SEO agency to implement recommendations and coordinate deliverables.
• Assist with website content, landing pages, service pages, and promotional updates.
• Support local SEO initiatives and content development.
• Help ensure our website and digital presence reflect our growing brand.

Direct Mail & Brand Marketing

• Plan and coordinate direct-mail campaigns, including postcards, flyers, and targeted neighbourhood promotions.
• Coordinate printing, distribution, and campaign tracking.
• Assist with vehicle branding, signage, promotional materials, and other marketing initiatives.
• Support new service launches, special promotions, and community marketing campaigns.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines creativity, technical marketing skills, and a strong ability to execute.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of hands-on digital marketing experience.
• Demonstrated experience creating and managing Meta advertising campaigns.
• Working knowledge of Google Ads and digital lead generation.
• Experience creating social media content, graphics, and short-form videos.
• Strong copywriting and communication skills.
• Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign execution.
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
• Basic understanding of SEO and website marketing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and an understanding of marketing performance metrics.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience marketing home services, construction, renovations, or other local service businesses.
• Experience with HubSpot or other CRM platforms.
• Experience with direct-mail campaigns.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, conversion tracking, and marketing automation.
• Experience managing advertising budgets and reporting on campaign performance.
