Full job description

Job Summary:

The Marketing Intern will support key functions within the Marketing team while also assisting the Supply/Hard Goods team at Bayview Flowers under the broad Marketing department. This is a 8-month contract role reporting to the Marketing Manager, with responsibilities focused on Marketing operations.

Responsibilities include supporting the development of marketing materials, customer flyers, sales tools, customer planners, visual drafts, in-store POP materials, print coordination, asset organization, and marketing initiatives such as tradeshows, photoshoots, seasonal campaigns, and showroom updates.

The role will also support Supply/Hard Goods through inventory tracking, printed material and tag inventory updates, product information maintenance, data entry, item number validation, quote reference organization, and discrepancy follow-up as needed.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop marketing and sales materials, including customer flyers, promotional materials, product sheets, and seasonal sales support documents.

2. Support the execution of customer planners, visual drafts, in-store program layouts, and POP/shopper marketing materials.

3. Assist with marketing initiatives such as tradeshow preparation, showroom updates, photoshoots, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and internal marketing projects.

4. Communicate with third-party print suppliers to support quotes, proofs, timelines, production updates, and delivery coordination.

5. Assist in organizing and maintaining the Marketing asset library, including file naming, folder structure, image organization, and access for internal stakeholders.

6. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Supply/Hard Goods to support future promotions, seasonal programs, and customer-facing materials.

7. Maintain accurate trackers for tags, printed materials, hard goods, samples, and other assigned inventory-related items.

8. Support Supply/Hard Goods with inventory checks, product data entry, items validation, quote references, and discrepancy follow-up as needed.

Requirements

1. Diploma, degree, certificate, or relevant experience in Marketing, Business, Graphic Design, Communications, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.

2. Strong attention to detail, especially when working with product information, item numbers, inventory lists, and customer-facing materials.

3. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel, and/or Google Sheets.

4. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

5. Creative, versatile, and comfortable supporting both marketing and operational tasks.

6. Able to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Supply/Hard Goods, external suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

7. Interest in flowers, plants, retail merchandising, shopper marketing, or consumer goods is considered an asset.

3. Maintain strong attention to detail when working with files, inventory information, product data, and printed materials.

4. Be self-motivated, positive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.

5. Work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with multiple departments.

6. Participate proactively in continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, workflow issues, or opportunities for better organization.

7. Escalate questions, missing information, discrepancies, or project risks to the Marketing Manager or appropriate department lead in a timely manner.

8. Maintain a professional, clean, organized, and safe work area.
