Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Pool Supervisor and lead the way in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all guests. The Pool Supervisor leads the Pool Department in their daily operations, offering training, support and guidance. This is a hands-on customer facing role, with about 70% focus on daily operations and 30% on administrative tasks.

Responsibilities.

§ Responsible for ensuring good quality guest service and efficiently running the Pool and Gift Shop

§ Interviews, hires and trains Pool and Gift Shop staff in conjunction with HR

§ Supervises Department; Ensures the continuous development of an effective and harmonious team

§ Responsible for maintaining appropriate staff standards including dealing with underperformance and misconduct

§ Conducts probationary and annual staff performance evaluations

§ Creates schedule, monitors hours worked and approves time off requests

§ Covers staff absences/shortfalls/breaks where required

§ Provides a high standard of Customer Service, resolving/mitigating customer complaints

§ Acts as the point of contact for Group Bookings and Tours, communicating relevant information to all affected Departments in the Resort

§ Oversees the Point of Sale system; including programming inventory and providing IT support when required

§ Maintaining a healthy working environment in the Pool and Gift Shop, Inc. eliminating safety hazards, promoting a tidy workplace

§ Monitors, orders and receives inventory pertaining to Pool and Gift Shop.

§ Has knowledge of all Safety, Emergency and Accident Prevention Policies

§ Performs other duties as assigned by General Manager or Assistant General Manager

§ Reports to General Manager and Assistant General Manager

  • Leads on Customer and Staff safety issues – ensuring that all injuries and near misses are recorded and files kept.
  • Chairs the quarterly Joint Occupational Safety Committee.
  • Produces monthly safety incident reports for the GM.

Skill Requirements.

· Experience in Customer Service and Management preferred.

· Confidence in a leadership role

· High School Diploma. OFA Level 1 preferred.

· Professional attitude

· Excellent communication (written and oral), and people skills.

· Good organisational skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to multitask

· Proficiency in written and oral English.

· Proficiency in POS systems, debit and credit card terminals

· Maintains a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
