Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Photo Editor to support our Sports Photography team in delivering high-quality images during live sporting events in Kelowna. The ideal candidate is passionate about visual storytelling, eager to learn, friendly, outgoing and proficient with Adobe Lightroom. Mainly responsible for the editing, saving and uploading of photos the photographer takes of live-action sports. As well as putting the photos up as a slideshow immediately after each game, and assisting parents and players view and purchase their photos. This position is suitable for creative individuals who are equally passionate about sports and photography.

Responsibilities

  • Edit photos using Adobe Lightroom to enhance image quality. Batch editing for minor lighting adjustments, cropping and rotating.
  • Assisting customers in person on how to access, purchase and download their photos.
  • Manage digital files by importing, organizing, and uploading images.
  • Proficient time management skills, as photos are edited and delivered on site.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom and photo delivery websites such as Pixieset
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for composition and lighting.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage digital files efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn new techniques and expand technical skills in photography and editing.
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude. You will need to talk to customers, and even upsell photo packages to customers.
  • Interest and passion in sport, particularly Hockey.

Hours

  • This is an on-site, weekend role based out of either Rutland Arena or MNP Place
  • Hours vary, but likely 8 hours each Saturday and Sunday, potentially 4-6 hours on Friday.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
