Digital & Content Coordinator

We're looking for a Digital & Content Coordinator

This is a hands-on role at the centre of our digital operation. You'll help create the content that reaches our audience across Rock 95, 107.5 Kool FM, and Barrie 360, and you'll support our in-house agency, Flying Pigs Marketing, with content for client websites.It's a varied role with real ownership. No two weeks look the same.

The Role

Content creation and strategy

• Write and publish consistent content across our two radio station websites and Barrie 360
• Execute the content strategy laid out by management, working from a topic and keyword plan
• Optimize content for search, including headline structure, formatting, internal linking, and on-page SEO
• Keep existing content current and performing through regular updates and refreshes

Agency and client support

• Create content for Flying Pigs Marketing client websites
• Conduct keyword research to support client content plans
• Optimize client content for search performance
• Support client reporting with clear, plain-language results

Audience growth and engagement

• Produce and send our newsletters, including the daily Barrie 360 edition
• Manage push notifications across all three brands
• Support email and SMS list growth
• Create content for social media and help monitor and respond to community comments

Digital operations

• Maintain our websites in WordPress, including content fixes and routine upkeep
• Support ad campaign delivery, including creative, scheduling, and reporting
• Assist with podcast publishing and distribution
• Help build out seasonal and annual campaign pages, from holiday content to community fundraisers

Collaboration

• Work with the News Director and newsroom on occasional special assignments in the community
• Support on-air staff and sales with digital assets and campaign execution

To be successful in this position, you:

• Enjoy a fast paced, energized environment surrounded by people who enjoy making things happen
• Are a strong writer who can produce clean copy quickly and stay open to revisions
• Understand content creation with SEO in mind, including keyword research and on-page optimization
• Have experience working with WordPress and optimizing content within it
• Have a working understanding of digital marketing concepts for reaching a mass audience
• Are comfortable navigating all major social media platforms
• Can juggle multiple brands and deadlines without dropping the details
• Are a self-starter, eager to learn, and collaborative by nature

Nice to have: experience with email marketing platforms, basic graphic design, Google Analytics, or agency and client-facing work.
