PROMOTIONS & SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

Part-Time / Occasional Position
Starting Wage: $20.00/hour + Mileage Compensation

The Body Sculptors is looking for an outgoing, creative and highly motivated Promotions & Social Media Specialist to help grow our Barrie location.

This is NOT a traditional position with guaranteed weekly hours. This is a part-time, occasional position, with hours based on business needs, promotions, events, content creation and client activity.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, independent, sales-minded and genuinely enjoys social media, marketing and connecting with people and local businesses.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing social media for our Barrie location
• Creating engaging posts, stories, reels and promotional content
• Creating and assisting with advertisements and promotional campaigns
• Obtaining User Generated Content (UGC), including client photos, videos, testimonials and treatment content with appropriate consent
• Reaching out to local businesses to arrange cross-promotions, collaborations, giveaways and business co-op opportunities
• Building relationships with complementary businesses and community partners throughout Barrie and the surrounding area
• Helping organize local promotional events and marketing initiatives
• Responding to social media messages and client inquiries
• Answering and returning business phone calls and voicemails
• Following up with prospective clients and helping convert inquiries into booked appointments
• Booking and managing client appointments
• Promoting current specials, packages and services
• Visiting the Barrie location as needed to obtain fresh content and assist with promotions
• Helping identify new opportunities to increase bookings, brand awareness and local exposure
• Assisting with additional marketing, promotional and administrative tasks as required

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The right person will be:

• Extremely comfortable using Facebook, Instagram and other social platforms
• Creative and capable of producing attractive, engaging content
• Comfortable creating reels, short-form videos and promotional graphics
• Confident communicating with clients by phone, text and social media
• Comfortable approaching local businesses and proposing collaborations
• Organized and consistent with lead follow-up
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision
• Professional, friendly and outgoing
• Sales-minded — you understand that successful marketing needs to produce leads, bookings and revenue, not just likes and followers
• Comfortable learning our services, promotions, pricing and booking system
• Available during regular weekday business hours when required
• Comfortable completing some responsibilities remotely during evenings and weekends, including monitoring and responding to client inquiries, messages, calls and voicemails

VEHICLE REQUIREMENT

Applicants must have their own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence.

Some local travel will be required for business co-op visits, promotional opportunities, events, partnerships, content creation and other approved business activities.

Mileage compensation will be provided for approved business travel.

HOURS & COMPENSATION

Starting Wage: $20.00/hour + Mileage Compensation

This position is PART-TIME / OCCASIONAL.

REGULAR OR MINIMUM WEEKLY HOURS ARE NOT GUARANTEED.

Hours will fluctuate depending on business needs, promotional campaigns, appointments, events and marketing projects. Some weeks may require more involvement than others.

We prefer someone with flexible weekday availability who is also comfortable handling certain responsibilities remotely during evenings and weekends.

This position is best suited to someone looking for flexible supplemental work rather than someone requiring a guaranteed number of hours every week.
