Job Description:

Signage Prepress Technician

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare client proofs, mock-ups, and production files from client supplied and in-house created design files.
  • Apply colour correction techniques and practices.
  • Use industry standard tools to ensure die-lines, bleeds, and FPOs match production guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining prepress workflow and efficiency.
  • Review work orders for accuracy and completion.
  • Use management information systems to initiate and update project information effectively.
  • Proactively detect possible challenges and issues with projects while maintaining a strong follow up process to ensure clients and departments are kept up to date.
  • Liaise directly with clients and departments to ensure the proper and clear communication of concepts and requirements.
  • Work with all required departments to develop corrective action plans and policies.
  • Participate in the development and deployment of project plans and client presentations.
  • Maintain awareness of industry, company, and product knowledge.
  • Demonstrate innovation and flexibility in approach and work ethics.
  • Participate in project completion reports and information.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Graphic Design or Visual Communication would be an asset.
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a Signage Prepress Role.
  • Strong understanding of Exterior and Interior signage types including Vehicle graphics.
  • Strong ability and knowledge in Adobe software platforms (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Proficient with PC & Mac platforms.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude with good communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
