Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Assistant/Clerk, where your energetic and detail-oriented approach will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations and patient care. In this role, you will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to patients. Your proactive attitude and strong organizational skills will help ensure smooth pharmacy workflows, accurate medication handling, and a welcoming environment for all visitors. Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing in accordance with medical terminology and pharmacy protocols
  • Manage inventory levels by receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and tracking medication expiration dates
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients, answering questions related to medication or pharmacy services
  • Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing prescriptions, and processing insurance claims
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area to promote a safe and efficient work environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care activities and medication management

Experience

  • Previous experience in a hospital setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred
  • Experience working as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver compassionate patient care with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers
