Precise Downhole Services Ltd. is an Alberta-based company equipped to meet the demanding needs in the reservoir monitoring sector of the oil industry. We are downhole instrumentation specialists and our expertise provides customers with numerous types of downhole services including:

  • Professional engineering services
  • Downhole tools related to reservoir monitoring
  • Custom coiled & capillary tubing instrumentation strings
  • Spooling & installation services
  • Temperature sensing equipment (thermocouples, fiber optics)
  • Pressure sensing equipment (bubble tubes, piezometers, etc.)
  • Surface data acquisition equipment

We custom manufacture coiled and capillary tubing instrumentation strings; expertly retrieve temperature surveys for producers, injectors and observation wells and install and re-run observation well bundles. Our service is complete with clamping and banding of various downhole systems.

Precise uses cutting-edge technologies and our oilfield experience to provide each customer with a complete package. Our flexibility enables us to achieve cost-effectiveness through the use of multiple suppliers and vendors.

We work directly with drilling and services rigs in all types of environments and are ever-increasing our customer base. In addition, we are experienced in the installation and completed surface termination of monitoring systems. The job is not complete until the customer is fully satisfied with the quality of the work.

Applicant Qualifications - Required:

  • Diploma or certification in Instrumentation Technology, Petroleum Technology, or a related field
  • Safety-conscious and willing to work in a service-oriented industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in a team environment (crew of 2-4)
  • Willingness to take direction from onsite supervisors
  • Ability to work away from home for extended periods (15 days on, 6 days off schedule; optional 21 on, 4 off in winter)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record
  • Reliable vehicle for transportation to and from Nisku
  • Valid First Aid & H2S certifications

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Experience with Electronic Submersible Pumps (ESP)
  • Prior oil and gas field experience
