Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and comfort to our furry guests! In this role, you will ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of animals in our care while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment where pets feel loved and owners feel confident their companions are in good hands.

As a Kennel Attendant it is your responsibility to be reliable and show up on time. Our guests here rely on us being here to care for them.

Starting Pay is $19.00 per hour. Pay rate increase at the end of the probation/training period.

Qualifications

  • 18 + years old
  • Prior experience in animal care is required; enthusiasm for working with animals is essential
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or assisting with animal movement
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members

Duties

  • Assist with the daily care of animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness of kennels, bedding, and common areas to promote a healthy environment
  • Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns promptly
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to pet owners, answering questions and addressing needs
  • Handle animals safely during cleaning, feeding, and other activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Support the team during animal intake and departure processes, ensuring proper documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and facility policies at all times

What you'll be doing: Supervising and caring for our furry friends ; Feeding and administering medications ; Keeping the kennel and area clean and tidy ; Providing lots of love, attention, and belly rubs!

Requirements: Genuine love for dogs of all shapes and sizes ; A positive and energetic attitude ; Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment ; Excellent teamwork and communication skills ; Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
