Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth kitchen operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food industry and develop essential skills related to cooking, food handling, and restaurant service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and food assembly under the supervision of chefs or kitchen staff
  • Support food safety and sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment
  • Help with basic cooking tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
  • Serve dishes to customers or assist servers during meal service as needed
  • Maintain organized storage of ingredients and supplies
  • Support the team in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment

Skills

  • Experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen work is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to assist with cooking and meal preparation tasks efficiently
  • Strong understanding of food industry standards and restaurant operations
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to food service and kitchen management
  • Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory

This position provides valuable hands-on experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideal for individuals interested in building a career in the food service industry.

Additional Requirements

  • Basic English communication required for kitchen coordination.
  • Ability to communicate in Persian (Farsi) is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with meat and hot equipment (grill, ovens, fryers).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
  • Reliable and punctual with good work ethic.
  • Availability for evenings and weekends.

Nice to Have (optional but preferred)

  • Experience in Middle Eastern or Mediterranean kitchens
  • Experience with high-volume service
  • Familiarity with food portioning and prep routines
