WHO WE ARE: Bank Medical Clinic is a Multi Disciplinary Clinic including family physicians, Specialists, Pediatrician, Family Health Organization, nurses, MOAs and part-time receptionists providing excellent care in the community. We are located at Bank Street and Walkley Road.

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for an experienced (6 months or above) full-time medical receptionist to work 37 plus hours per week with secure and regular shifts, mostly Monday to Friday 9:00am-4:00pm. The flexibility to work sometime till 6 pm. Starting wage at $18 per hour depending on resume and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greeting and registering patients
  • Taking Patients Height and weight.
  • Answering phones, answering patient questions
  • Triaging a large volume of patients with medical concerns
  • Booking appointments
  • Collaborating with our nursing team
  • Collecting third party payments
  • Faxing/scanning/managing documents in the EMR

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent computer skills are essential
  • Medical EMR knowledge required (PSS experience is a huge asset)
  • MOA certificate an asset
  • Able to communicate in French verbal and written will be an asset, not mandatory
  • Good communication skills – on the phone and in person
  • Enjoy working with the public and with fellow staff
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Able to commute to work easily
  • Very reliable, committed, and flexible with the schedule
