About PayMyTuition

PayMyTuition, part of the MTFX Group, is a leading SaaS payment technology company focused exclusively on higher education.

More than 700 universities and colleges across Canada and the United States use the PayMyTuition platform to manage student payments, refunds, payment plans, and campus commerce. Our technology supports students from more than 180 countries and facilitates payments in over 130 currencies.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a SaaS Account Manager – Higher Education to manage and expand relationships with our institutional clients.

About the Role

This is a SaaS account management and client growth position—not a cold-calling role.

You will inherit an established portfolio of university and college clients and serve as their primary business contact. You will help clients understand, adopt, and expand their use of the PayMyTuition platform while identifying opportunities to introduce additional products and functionality.

The successful candidate must be comfortable learning and navigating software platforms, demonstrating product functionality, discussing technology with clients, and working with internal Product, Implementation, Support, and Engineering teams.

You do not need to be a software developer, but you must be technically curious and able to understand how SaaS products, system integrations, workflows, and data exchanges support a client’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an established portfolio of university and college clients.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Student Accounts, IT, and senior leadership.
  • Become proficient in the PayMyTuition platform and its payment, refund, payment plan, and campus commerce solutions.
  • Help clients understand and make effective use of the platform’s available features and functionality.
  • Conduct platform demonstrations, account reviews, product updates, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Explain SaaS functionality, workflows, integrations, and product capabilities clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor platform adoption and identify opportunities to improve how clients use PayMyTuition.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities based on each institution’s needs and operational challenges.
  • Develop account plans and maintain a pipeline of opportunities within the existing client portfolio.
  • Coordinate with Product, Implementation, Support, Operations, and Engineering to address client questions and issues.
  • Gather sufficient information to document platform issues, understand their business impact, and ensure they are directed to the appropriate internal team.
  • Keep clients informed about new products, platform enhancements, releases, and service capabilities.
  • Support client retention, contract renewals, and the continued growth of institutional partnerships.
  • Gather client feedback and communicate product requirements and market needs to internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, meeting notes, opportunities, risks, and follow-up activities.
  • Represent PayMyTuition at client meetings, higher education conferences, and industry events across North America.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least two years of experience in account management, customer success, relationship management, business development, or consultative technology sales.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required. Candidates must have advanced proficiency in French, including the ability to write professional correspondence, lead meetings, and handle complex discussions without assistance.
  • Experience managing and growing a portfolio of existing business-to-business clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn software platforms and explain their functionality to clients.
  • Comfortable navigating web-based applications, conducting software demonstrations, and discussing technology-enabled workflows.
  • General understanding of SaaS platforms, system integrations, data exchange, and implementation processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business users and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify client needs and connect them to appropriate products, features, and solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and follow-up activities.
  • Commercial mindset with an interest in client retention, product adoption, and account growth.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, financial services, enterprise software, or education technology.
  • Experience working with universities, colleges, or higher education administrative departments.
  • Familiarity with student payments, accounts receivable, refunds, payment plans, or campus commerce.
  • Experience working with enterprise platforms, system integrations, or technology implementation projects.
  • Experience using CRM, support ticketing, product demonstration, or account management tools.
  • Familiarity with Student Information Systems or ERP platforms such as Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague, PeopleSoft, Workday, or Anthology Student is an asset.

Why Join PayMyTuition?

  • Manage an established portfolio of university and college clients without cold calling.
  • Work with a modern SaaS platform used by more than 700 higher education institutions.
  • Build relationships with many of North America’s leading universities and colleges.
  • Develop valuable experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, and higher education technology.
  • Earn additional income through commission and performance-based bonuses.
  • Gain exposure to enterprise technology, payment systems, and institutional integrations.
  • Attend higher education conferences and client events throughout North America.
  • Work in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment with opportunities for growth.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary starting from $60,000 per year.
  • Commission and performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive health and dental benefits.
  • Paid time off.
  • Casual dress.
  • Company events.
