Full job description

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to work at a busy and fast-paced medical pediatric office

Job Summary: The MOA is responsible for the following duties:

· Registering and scheduling patients for their routine/acute office visits.

· Rooming patients in to the appropriate rooms and handling the pre-assessment portion of the visit, this includes but not limited to, taking vital signs, checking growth parameters, and giving them the appropriate forms to fill out.

· Cleaning patient examinations rooms after the patient completes their visits

· Filtering through incoming faxes and ensuring they are filed into the relevant folder or patients chart properly

· Processing all online booking requests and ensuring they are being booked appropriately

· Assisting with incoming referrals and processing them according to the office standard.

· Selecting and ordering supplies/equipment necessary for the MOA position.

· Ensuring steady workflows and uninterrupted service.

· Ensuring patient satisfaction, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint.

· Ensuring compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Two years experience
  • Good leadership skills and interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven work experience in a health care provider office.
  • Superior telephone etiquette and patient communication
  • Ability to handle medical records discreetly
  • Familiarity with medical office safety and infection control standards and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
  • Diploma/ certificate in Healthcare Administration, Business, or relevant field
  • Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications and ability to research on the Internet.
  • Experience with ACCURO EMR is an assets.
  • Fluent in Arabic is an assest
