Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strategic, skilled, and detail-oriented, individual to join our team as a Facility Operations Manager of the Charlotte County Hospital (CCH). The ideal candidate will have experience in health care.

Who you are
You have a worked in a Leadership and/or Management role for a minimum of 3 years. You have experience in LEAN Sigma six and LEADS framework training. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications. You have demonstrated leadership and communication skills (oral and written), strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act as a change agent. You have demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field
- Initiative, sound judgement and decision-making skills
- Ability to work both on a team and independently
- Physical capacity to carry out the work assigned
- Demonstrated adherence to relevant legislation including the Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act to ensure all patients, business, financial and employee information is accessed on a need-to-know basis.
- Patient safety is a critical aspect of quality healthcare. Successful candidates must be accountable for creating a culture of safety, working as a team, communicating effectively and responding to adverse events.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a variety of health care providers, including nurses, physicians, managers and staff from other disciplines
- Good work record and ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to provide detailed reports and analysis as required

What you will do
Leading, Planning and Organizing
Responsible for leading day-to-day facility operations in alignment with Horizon’s strategic plan/objectives.
- Participate in facility and regional leadership committees while leading cross-functional operational initiatives, change initiatives, and the implementation of strategic organizational priorities in collaboration with clinical, corporate, and community stakeholders.
- Recruitment, retention, scheduling and management of direct reports.
- Act as a point of contact for clinical operations team, and collaborates with departments such as Emergency Management Operations, Talent Acquisition Team, Facilities, Engineering and Property Management, Information Systems, Regional Staffing Support Centre.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and serve as the Facility Duty Officer during business hours
- Provide operational leadership and administrative oversight for the Ambulatory Care Clinic
- Coordinate internal communications across the facility
- Facility related project coordination (e.g. CIS).
- Lead employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
- Support Horizon's Culture and Wellbeing initiatives through events, communications, and site promotion.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that supports collaboration, recognition, and employee wellbeing.
Partnership and Networking
Supports the Clinical Director of Operations and Patient Flow in maintaining collaborative relationships with all partners both internal and external to Horizon in the participation and communication of committees, forums and working group related to key areas of responsibility.
- Develops and implements a strong communication strategy for internal and external collaborators.
- Foster collegial relationships and integration within the organization and larger community collaborators (e.g. volunteers, Hospital Foundation, Auxiliary).
Finance
- Analyze and evaluate budget variances (sick days, overtime, etc).
- Identifies and manages budget pressures and completes requests for enhancements as required.
Quality and Safety Management
- Lead patient experience initiatives and coordinate the timely resolution of concerns in collaboration with appropriate teams.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all responsible program areas
- Ensures unit Occupational Health and Safety Inspections
- Collaborate with managers and resources in various audits (hand-washing, records, VDT, etc.)
- Analyzes and maintains statistics as required by the department
These duties and responsibilities may change as per operational requirements.
