Full job description

We're looking for a motivated, experienced Hobby Store Specialist to join the Zephyr team.

Zephyr Epic specializes in hobby and collectible goods, like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! Upper Deck, Panini and Topps. Zephyr prides itself on expert product knowledge, great selection and amazing customer experiences. We have a thriving eCommerce store that reaches customers across Canada and a retail store to service the lower mainland. We are looking for someone with retail experience and a love of Trading Cards to join our team!

Who you are

The ideal candidate will have extensive Trading Card knowledge, 2+ years retail or customer service experience, excellent communications skills and a drive to create positive interactions with customers.

Experience

  • 2+ years Retail Experience
  • Experience with retail transactions and cash handling.
  • Have extensive product knowledge of at least one of the following: Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, Upper Deck, Topps, Panini etc.
  • Comfortable forming relationships with customers and ease in connecting with different audience segments on a genuine level.

Qualities

  • Loves, plays, collects, trades and understands the trading card industry
  • Understands the importance of 1-1 customer service
  • Ability to innovate and make improvements willingly
  • Confident in decision making skills
  • Comfortable communicating over various tools and in person - social media, phone, email, messenger
  • Confident working alone and with team
  • Ability to adapt to new situations

Must Haves:

  • Product knowledge of various TCGs and Sports Cards
  • Retail Experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong operational, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Flexible hours and able to work 16 hours a week
  • Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Pay: $19.50-$21.00 per hour
