Lawn Cutting Technician – Student Position

Top Performers earn between $26-28/hour across the season

Base Pay = $24/hour

Performance Pay (paid hourly on top of base)Your hourly rate increases based on your average number of completed houses per workday (mow + trim + edge + blow), while still meeting our quality standards.

10 houses/day average → $26/hr

11 houses/day average → $27/hr

12 houses/day average → $28/hr

Note: Performance pay is earned only when work meets company standards (clean edges, full blow-off, professional finish, minimal call-backs).

IMPORTANT: Read Before Applying

This is a physically demanding outdoor role.

You will be working outside in heat, light rain, and changing weather conditions. You will be mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, loading/unloading equipment, and driving between residential properties.

This role is not a good fit if you are looking for an easy summer job.

You must have access to a reliable personal vehicle and be comfortable transporting lawn equipment in your trunk. Equipment often fits in sedans, but you must confirm your vehicle has enough space to safely carry the required equipment.

Most people who do not succeed in this role underestimate the physical demands. We are very upfront about this because we do not want to waste your time or ours.

The people who do best here are reliable, physically capable, independent, coachable, and motivated to earn strong pay through real work.

We are a STUDENT-RUN and STUDENT-OWNED local lawn care company. We're looking for highly competitive students (current or recently graduated) who want their hard work to be recognized and adequately rewarded. As a Lawn Technician, you’ll be responsible for cutting and maintaining residential lawns, with a clear path to increase your earnings through performance and bonuses.

Requirements

Reliable Vehicle & G2 License:

• Equipment must fit in the trunk of your vehicle (fits in most sedans and all suv’s)

Physical Capability:

• Comfortable working outdoors in heat, light rain, and changing conditions
• Able to lift, carry, and operate lawn equipment for extended periods

Time Commitment:

• Available 30-40 hours a week until the end of the season ( (If your school schedule does not allow, we may be willing to accommodate a different start/end date or part time hours while school is in session.)
• Consistent, reliable attendance

• Competitive and hardworking
• Willing to learn, take feedback, and improve speed and quality
• Takes pride in leaving every property looking significantly better than when you arrived

Responsibilities

Lawn Cutting & Trimming

• Mow, trim, edge, and blow lawns to company standards
• Maintain clean, straight lines and neat edges
• Ensure properties are left spotless (no clumps, no debris on driveways or walkways)

Customer Service & Professionalism

• Comfortable communicating with clients you are serving– maintaining professionalism and integrity
• Work efficiently while maintaining high quality—your performance bonus depends on it
• Treat equipment with care and perform basic daily maintenance checks (fuel, cleanliness, etc.)
