Account Manager – Janitorial Services

We are looking for a motivated Account Manager – Janitorial Services to help grow our cleaning business by building strong client relationships and securing new contracts. This role will focus on contacting residential, commercial, office, and other potential clients to win regular cleaning agreements, one-time jobs, and expanded service contracts.

Position Summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, preparing estimates, creating service contracts, and maintaining long-term client relationships. This person will work closely with operations and cleaning teams to make sure services are delivered smoothly and clients remain satisfied.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is professional, organized, sales-driven, and comfortable building relationships with homeowners, property managers, office managers, business owners, and other service buyers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and contact residential, commercial, office, and other potential clients.
  • Identify new opportunities for regular cleaning contracts and one-time service work.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and service agreements.
  • Create, negotiate, and manage cleaning contracts.
  • Follow up on leads and convert inquiries into signed agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Coordinate with operations staff to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.
  • Review client needs and propose additional scope of work when appropriate.
  • Upsell add-on services such as post-construction cleaning, deep cleaning, floor care, move-in/move-out cleaning, window cleaning, and seasonal services.
  • Track contract renewals, service changes, and account updates.
  • Resolve client concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain organized records of leads, estimates, contracts, and client communications.
  • Support business growth through networking, referrals, and local outreach.

Additional Scope of Work

  • In addition to regular account management duties, this role may also include:
  • Developing pricing structures and service packages.
  • Building relationships with property managers, real estate professionals, and facility managers.
  • Assisting with marketing outreach and lead generation.
  • Identifying new service areas and customer segments.
  • Helping expand the business into related cleaning and maintenance services.
  • Participating in strategy discussions for growth and client retention.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, account management, customer service, or janitorial services preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to prepare professional quotes and service agreements.
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple accounts.
  • Basic knowledge of residential, commercial, and office cleaning services is an asset.
  • Experience with CRM systems, email, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
