Host/Hostess – Part-Time & Weekends

Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House – Guelph, ON
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Weekends & daytime shifts
Pay: Starting at minimum wage + tip-out

Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House Guelph is looking for a friendly, energetic and reliable Host/Hostess to join our team.

This is a great part-time position for someone who enjoys working with people and can thrive in a busy, fast-paced breakfast restaurant. Strong weekend availability is required.

What You'll Do

  • Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant
  • Manage the waitlist and seat guests efficiently
  • Help maintain a smooth flow of tables during busy breakfast and brunch rushes
  • Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries
  • Assist with takeout and delivery orders when required
  • Clear, clean and reset tables
  • Keep the entrance, waiting area and dining room clean and organized
  • Support servers and other team members during busy periods
  • Help ensure every guest receives friendly and efficient service

What We're Looking For

  • Friendly, outgoing and comfortable speaking with guests
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
  • Able to stay organized and calm during busy weekend rushes
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Willing to help wherever needed
  • Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is an asset, but not required
  • Students are welcome to apply

Availability

Weekend availability is required, particularly Saturdays and Sundays.

Additional weekday shifts may be available depending on business needs and your availability.

Because we are a breakfast and lunch restaurant, candidates should be comfortable working early mornings and daytime shifts.
