No photography experience? No problem. We'll teach you everything you need to know through our paid Photo School training program in August. We provide all the equipment, all the training, and ongoing support—you just bring your positive attitude and enthusiasm.

About Mountain West Studios
Mountain West Studios is Western Canada's leading school photography company. Proudly Canadian and family-owned since 1980, we've spent more than 46 years capturing school memories for hundreds of thousands of students and families.
Many of our team members return year after year because they enjoy the people they work with, the variety of each day, and the rewarding experience of helping students feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

What You'll Do:
Every day you'll travel to a different school, work alongside a great team, and help create school portraits that families will treasure for years to come.
Your responsibilities include:
  • Travelling to schools throughout the Lower Mainland.
  • Setting up and operating professional photography equipment (all equipment provided).
  • Photographing students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 after completing our training program.
  • Creating a fun, positive experience for students and staff.
  • Representing Mountain West Studios with professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent customer service.
  • Working weekdays during our busy fall season (September through November).

Why You'll Love Working Here:
  • No photography experience required—we provide all training.
  • Paid training at our Burnaby office (August 24–28, 2026).
  • $21–22 per hour, plus paid drive time.
  • Mileage reimbursement ($0.55/km where applicable).
  • Professional photography equipment provided.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
  • Evenings and weekends free.
  • Friendly, supportive team environment.
  • A fun, active job where no two days are the same.
  • Opportunity to return each school year.

What We're Looking For:
We're looking for people who enjoy working with children, have a positive attitude, and are dependable team players.
You should have:
  • A valid driver's licence (Class 5 or N) and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Confidence interacting with children and school staff.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Availability to attend an in-person interview and our paid training program.
  • The ability to successfully complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Physical Requirements:
This position involves:
  • Lifting photography equipment (up to 40 lbs.).
  • Standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout schools during the workday.

Join Our Team
If you're looking for a rewarding seasonal position where you'll learn new skills, meet great people, and help create lasting memories for families across the Lower Mainland, we'd love to hear from you.
