Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation according to recipes and standards
  • Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and timely service
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Assist with meal assembly, plating, and garnishing of dishes
  • Maintain proper food handling procedures during all stages of preparation
  • Support kitchen staff during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, organized, and properly maintained
  • Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food service, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation and kitchen operations
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff members
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
