Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our standards of excellence while adhering to food safety regulations.

Pay will be commensurate with experience and capabilities. There is increased pay for increased responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food handling and preparation practices comply with food safety regulations.
  • The setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Daily prep work to ensure all ingredients are ready for service.

Experience

  • Previous experience in the food service industry is essential, with a focus on meal preparation and cooking.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for food handling is required.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools is expected.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the bartending/serving staff and the ability to work independently in a small kitchen.
