Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, supporting the kitchen operations, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and grow within the food service industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation according to recipes and standards
  • Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist in plating and garnishing dishes for service
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts
  • Support the kitchen team during busy hours by handling multiple tasks seamlessly
  • Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers in accordance with safety protocols
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to deliver timely service

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
  • Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
  • Passion for culinary arts and a desire to grow within the food service industry

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week

Work Location: In person
