Full job description

Part-Time Office Administrator

Calgary, Alberta | Part-Time | 15–20 Hours per Week | $25–$30/hour

About Holland

Holland Licensed Interior Design is an established interior design firm with offices in Calgary and Edmonton. For more than 15 years, we have built our practice around great design, strong relationships, collaboration and a genuine commitment to the people behind our work.

We are looking for a Part-Time Office Administrator to join our Calgary studio and become an important part of how our team operates and connects.

While this role provides administrative support to our partners, leadership team and employees, it is also about much more than keeping things organized. This person will play an important role in the day-to-day experience of working at Holland, helping us create a workplace that feels connected, thoughtful, organized and fun.

From welcoming a new employee on their first day, to organizing a team event, coordinating a client gift or simply noticing something that could make the office run better, this role has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our team and help shape our company culture as we continue to grow.

The Role

Working approximately 15–20 hours per week, you will help coordinate the many details that keep a busy design practice moving.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in making things happen. You are organized and dependable, but also thoughtful, resourceful and willing to jump in where needed. You enjoy being part of a team and naturally look for ways to make things easier and better for the people around you.

Responsibilities will include:

  • General office administration and coordination
  • Administrative support to company partners and leadership
  • Scheduling, coordination and follow-up
  • Managing office supplies and day-to-day studio needs
  • Helping create a welcoming, organized and positive office environment
  • Coordinating staff birthdays, celebrations, social activities and team initiatives
  • Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding logistics
  • Coordinating client gifting and relationship initiatives
  • Coordinating furniture, materials and other project-related purchases
  • Assisting with permit purchases and project administration
  • Coordinating technology and equipment setup with our external IT provider
  • Expense and receipt administration
  • Supporting internal meetings, events and company initiatives
  • Helping coordinate administrative needs between our Calgary and Edmonton offices
  • Identifying administrative gaps and proactively helping resolve them

Who We're Looking For

You are exceptionally organized, resourceful and comfortable managing multiple priorities. You have strong follow-through, good judgment and a natural ability to anticipate what needs to happen next.

Just as importantly, you care about people and workplace culture. You understand that the small things matter, whether that means making a new employee feel welcome, remembering an important milestone, helping organize a great team event or ensuring the office feels like a place people are proud to be part of.

We are looking for someone who is interested in making a long-term commitment to Holland and growing with us. As we continue to grow and scale, we want this person to understand and connect with our values, take pride in what Holland represents and become a genuine advocate for our team and brand. This is a role for someone who wants to contribute to the organization, not simply complete a list of administrative tasks.

You are comfortable working independently, but enjoy being connected to a team. You communicate professionally, bring a positive and solutions-focused approach to your work and are happy to take ownership when something needs to get done.

Previous experience in office administration, executive assistance or a related administrative role is preferred. Experience in a professional services, architecture, design, engineering or similar environment is an asset but is not required.

Compensation & Schedule

This is a part-time position of approximately 15–20 hours per week, with regular in-office presence at our Calgary studio.

Compensation: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

Company benefits may be available subject to eligibility.

For the right person, we see this as a role that can evolve alongside the company. You will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, take ownership of initiatives and help us continue building a workplace and culture that our team is proud to be part of.

Holland Licensed Interior Design is committed to an inclusive and accessible recruitment process. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates participating in the recruitment process.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Company events
  • Dental care
  • On-site gym
  • Paid time off
  • Profit sharing
  • Vision care

Work Location: In person
