Opportunity:

A variety of family practices are seeking dedicated and friendly Medical Office Assistants to join their medical clinics in the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows areas. As a Medical Office Assistant (MOA), you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of a medical office by performing various administrative and clinical tasks.

Job Location: Pitt Meadows

Schedule:

  • Thursdays and Fridays (16 hours/week) + sick and holiday coverage

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filling, faxing, and scanning documents
  • Answer phones, book appointments, room patients, and set up exam rooms
  • Manage clinic supplies and inventory
  • Verify patient information and register new patients
  • Assist doctors in treatment rooms
  • Optimize office efficiency with room turnover

Required Skills:

  • Previous MOA experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
  • MedAccess EMR experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with accuracy
  • Knowledge of privacy requirements of patients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • MOA Certificate
  • Grade 12 completion
