Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support in a busy medical office, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining electronic medical records, and supporting clinical staff. Prior experience with office management systems and strong communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors efficiently at the front desk, creating a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Accuro
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information and collecting payments
- Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure patient flow runs smoothly throughout the day
- Support the preparation of patient charts and documentation for appointments or procedures
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
Qualifications
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Accuro
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems in a busy office environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous office experience in healthcare or dental practice is highly desirable
