Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead small group tutoring sessions with students aged 9–18, guiding discussions and answering questions.
  • Use provided materials to deliver structured lessons, ensuring students understand AP concepts.
  • Apply effective teaching strategies and strong communication skills to build academic skills.
  • Keep students engaged and motivated to take ownership of their learning.
  • Provide clear, targeted feedback so parents can monitor progress.
  • Support New Canadians in strengthening English language skills.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages students to rise to the challenge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong communication skills and passion for learning
  • Open to training and professional development
  • Previous APtutoring experience is an asset

Work Hours

From July to August, classes are conducted between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 4-20 per week subject to negotiation with the campus..

From September onward, classes are conducted between 4 – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 4-20 per week subject to negotiation with the campus.

Location

Our campus is located at 889 Harbourside Dr, North Vancouver, BC V7P 3S1. Classes are only conducted in-person.
