Hours of operation: 0800-1600 Monday-Thursday (some Friday's)

Alberta Breast Surgical Oncology Clinic is looking for an integral part of our customer team. You will join a team of passionate, like-minded people enjoying a challenging and rewarding career in the ever-changing health care industry. It starts with you.

Job: Reporting to Clinic Manager, receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, as well as providing support to surgeons and medical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering main line and re-directing calls to medical office assistants
  • Greeting and registering patients, initiating forms
  • Escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing patients for physician
  • Cleaning and preparing exam rooms between patients visits
  • Receiving and sorting/distributing faxes as appropriate
  • Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Stocking and detailed cleaning exam rooms once a week

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Recent customer service experience
  • Experience with EMR (Health Quest preferable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in compliance with the Health Information Act Information for Applicants
