,Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Clinic Manager to oversee daily operations within our healthcare facility. This leadership role requires a strong background in medical office management, with the ability to coordinate staff, manage administrative functions, and ensure exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, proficiency with electronic medical records, and a solid understanding of healthcare regulations and procedures. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering quality healthcare services.

Expectations:

Clinic Manager oversees daily operations of the physician clinic and ensures the delivery of high-quality patient services. This role supervises administrative staff, manages billing, supports physicians, ensures compliance with health legislation, and coordinates workflow for effective clinic functioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management : Oversees day-to-day clinic operations, scheduling, and workflow. Maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment. Ensures a safe, clean, organized environment
  • Staff Coordination Recruit, onboard, schedule, and supervise administrative staff. Provide training, coaching, and performance management. Address workplace conflict using trauma-informed, professional approaches
  • Physician Support Coordinate physician schedules. Manage correspondence, referrals, and patient flow. Support physician billing and documentation
  • Patient Services, Oversee reception, check-ins, and customer service standards. Resolve patient concerns professionally. Ensure culturally safe and trauma-aware service delivery.
  • Billing & Financial Administration Oversee AHCIP, WCB, private billing, PCCM coordination and insurance claims. Monitor outstanding claims and correct rejections. Prepare financial reports as required.
  • Compliance & Privacy Ensure adherence to HIA, PIPA, CPSA standards, and clinic policies. Manage privacy incidents, reporting, and staff training. Oversee security of EMR systems
  • Policy & Process Development Maintain and improve SOPs and workflow procedures. Implement new processes to improve efficiency.

Experience:

Qualifications 3+ years of medical clinic administrative experience. Knowledge of EMR systems (Accuro, Ava).

Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.

Understanding of Alberta healthcare system (AHCIP, WCB, specialist referrals).

Excellent communication and organization skills. Fast-paced, patient-facing environment.

Familiarity with Accuro/Ava or similar electronic medical records systems

Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, including billing, coding, and compliance standards

Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a focus on quality patient care and operational efficiency

This role is crucial for upholding the high standards of our healthcare facility through effective leadership, operational oversight, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
