Full job description

As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality eye care services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the optometrist with patient care, managing electronic medical records, providing exceptional customer service, and handling front desk duties. Our practice is not your average optometry office/clinic. We revolve around our Specialty Clinics of Dry Eye Disease, Myopia Management, and Specialty Contact Lenses and therefore, there is a lot of knowledge that is required up front. Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrist with patient care, including pre-testing and preliminary examinations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist with retail sales of eyewear and contact lenses, Dry Eye Disease products/services, Myopia Management products/services
- Manage front desk duties, including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and billing

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent patient care
- Ability to multitask and handle front desk responsibilities efficiently
- Desire to learn and not be afraid to have hands-on, on-the-job training, and not be afraid to make mistakes
