ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY...

Supervisor (FT; 5 Days/week; 8 hours/day)

Compensation ranging from $23/hr to $25/hr, also includes company-paid extended health coverage that includes medical, dental, and vision, after passing probation.

Regional Recycling is looking to add a hardworking energetic supervisor to their team at the Abbotsford location. The successful candidate will have experience leading small teams and have adequate knowledge of all administrative and warehousing functions. The supervisor will be responsible for serving customers, assisting in shipping and receiving operations and aiding managers in the month-end counts of inventory. In addition, the supervisor will plan and coordinate the daily work of team members, address performance issues, resolve problems, ensure the accuracy of shipments, and support documentation.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR...

  • High school diploma and/or minimum 1+ year of experience in a supervisory role in warehouse/recycling/waste management or similar environment.
  • A "can-do" attitude, strong leadership, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High-energy, self-motivated team player with the ability to multitask.
  • Good customer service skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to lift to 40 lbs repeatedly.
  • Comfortable using android tablets and operating various equipment. Forklift driving experience is an asset.
  • High commitment to personal safety and the safety of others.

WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO…

Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, Supervisors will work to perform tasks such as:

  • Responsible for managing daily operations of the depot, including staff management, serving customers, shipping and receiving, and documentation/administrative work.
  • Coach, lead, and mentor all employees to deliver unparalleled customer service.
  • Educate team members and new hires on Regional Recycling’s safe and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a safe work environment to enforce health & safety policies and regulations in the workplace. Safety is a priority.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy in daily operations, including equipment operation and inventory controls.
  • Develop and apply control methods to maintain a high level of labour efficiency.
  • As skills develop further training for additional tasks will be provided.
