Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC Helper to join our team. This entry-level position provides valuable hands-on experience supporting HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanical systems and construction, with a focus on developing skills in HVAC, plumbing, welding, and appliance repair. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn industry-specific skills while contributing to the successful completion of various projects in commercial and residential settings.

Duties

  • Assist HVAC technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
  • Support the setup and teardown of HVAC units and related equipment
  • Help with plumbing connections and basic pipe fitting tasks as needed
  • Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks under supervision
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to aid in system assembly and troubleshooting
  • Assist in welding or fabrication work when required for system modifications or repairs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Support the handling of boilers, appliances, and mechanical components during service calls
  • Follow safety protocols at all times during job execution

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in construction, appliance repair, or related fields is preferred
  • Familiarity with schematics, plumbing, welding, or boiler systems is a plus
  • Previous experience with HVAC systems or maintenance work is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to HVAC, plumbing, welding, and mechanical systems
