Full job description

Food Service Workers - Casual & Part-Time Openings Start date: ASAP

Casual and Part Time (40-56 hours bi-weekly)

Hours of operation- 5:30 am- 6:45 pm (8-12 hour shifts)

Food service experience in health care an asset

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to provide a clear Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Basic Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire date

Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, portion, and serve meals, beverages, desserts, and snacks according to residents’ dietary needs.
  • Deliver meals and nourishment to residents and dining areas while providing friendly, respectful service.
  • Set up and clear dining areas, trays, and tables.
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare basic food items such as vegetables while following food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized kitchen, dining, and food service areas.
  • Operate and maintain food service equipment and report any maintenance concerns.
  • Stock kitchenettes and food service supplies as needed.
  • Dispose of garbage, compost, and recycling appropriately.
  • Assist team members with daily food service operations and support the training of new employees.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support quality food service for residents.

Pay: From $18.77 per hour
