Compensation, Benefits, and Hours

• Available as full-time, part-time, casual, or weekends
• Pay range: $18/hr to $25/hr (depending on skill set and experience)
• Other benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, employee discounts on all store products

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards
• Operate point of sale systems to process customer transactions smoothly and accurately
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and give correct change while maintaining accountability for cash handling
• Receive deliveries, manage inventory, and restock displays
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and recommending products to enhance sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food prep areas, kitchen equipment, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
• Manage time effectively to ensure orders are completed promptly during busy periods
• Follow all food industry guidelines for food handling, sanitation, and safety to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Requirements

• Complete provincially-required food safety courses
• Prior food service experience or restaurant background preferred; familiarity with meat cutting is a plus
• Experience with cashiering using Moneris and Wix point of sale systems or similar platforms
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and holidays as required
