Full job description

Puccini’s Deli & Specialty Foods is looking for a new team member to join their successful business.

As North Vancouver’s only authentic Italian Deli and voted and wind best Deli every year for the past 11 years.

We are a fast-paced specialty deli, with over 100 meats and cheeses from all over the world and locally, in-house made sauces, dough, dips. We support lots of other local business such as ourselves.

I am looking for a full time candidate who can work day, evenings and weekends.

This is an great opportunity for someone who has food experience and a passion for food.

Duties include and not limited too:

-maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members
-engage with customers through smiles and greetings, and offer samples, provide selling suggestions
-processing cash register transactions in a prompt and friendly matter
-using scales printer machines, ensuring weights and prices are accurate
-keeping a clean, neat, and organized work stations
-making paninis and prepping for that station
-cutting up meats and cheeses for show cases
-stocking shelves and rotating, drinks, coffee station, opening and closing duties
-work safety around slicers, knives and various tools and kitchen area
-taking customers orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and accurate to the customers satisfaction

Job Requirements: must have a passion for food and people. Engaging with customers and sharing stories about your passion for food. You have to be dependable, reliable, eager to learn, with a positive can do attitude.

Must be able to start immediately and will train for this position.
