ARTICLING CPA STUDENT

Positions available for May 2027 and September 2027

Responsibilities:

• Initial preparation of working papers, financial statements, corporate and personal income tax returns, GST returns, payroll for owner-managed businesses, T4s, T5s
• General bookkeeping and data entry
• Meeting deadlines as assigned by the partner or senior staff accountant
• Handling and filing confidential information as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• The ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
• Strong interpersonal skills
• The ability to rapidly absorb and utilize information in a fast-paced work environment
• A thorough understanding of accounting and the accounting industry
• Basic experience in or understanding of various software programs, including Sage 50, QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Microsoft Office a definite asset
• Strong typing and computer skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Positive attitude
• Very reliable
