Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated part-time Dental Assistant Level II to join our vibrant dental team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the clinical operations of our practice. Your expertise will help ensure smooth procedures, foster positive patient experiences, and uphold the highest standards of dental practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Hours

Mondays: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Thursdays: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patient care.
  • Assist dentists during a variety of procedures..
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Manage patient records using dental software.
  • Provide excellent patient support by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
  • Support front desk operations by handling patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and managing billing processes as a dental receptionist when needed.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools used for restorative procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role with a strong understanding of dental assisting practices.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care to ensure clear communication with patients and team members.
  • Experience supporting orthodontic treatments and utilizing CAD technology for restorative work is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care and support a welcoming environment.
  • Certification in dental assisting from an accredited program; additional certifications in radiography or orthodontics are advantageous.
