Summary

We are seeking passionate Youth Worker's to join our teams in locations in Carleton Place and Almonte. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting and guiding youth, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their potential. Your contributions will be essential to our mission of creating a positive impact in the lives of young people.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support and guidance to youth in various settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the needs of each young person.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and community resources to enhance support systems.
  • Facilitate group activities that promote personal growth and social skills.
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed to ensure success.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of youth within the community.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with youth with disabilities and mental health challenges is essential.
  • First Aid/CPR-C
  • Background in child development or related fields is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with youth effectively.
  • Teaching or mentoring experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Scheduling

All part-time staff must work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) with evening availability.
