Airfield Maintenance Specialist (full-time)

HOURS of WORK – 40 standard hours per week – the summer season is mostly day shifts and the winter seasonal is a rotating days and nights schedule which can be confirmed during the interview process.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment to perform maintenance duties on airport runways, taxiways, roads, parking lots and general airfield
  • Maintains the general airfield by performing general airfield inspection of runways, taxiways, aprons, condition of airfield lighting and signage for vehicle and aircraft navigation
  • Wildlife control and removal
  • Assist with emergent airside occurrences, ensuring safety and security for our employees and the public
  • Support our Trades team with maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Provide escort and support to internal and external projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation
  • Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 3A Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance, an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit, and an Industry Canada Radio licence
  • Proven ability to exercise initiative and discretion
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Proven commitment to safety with an impeccable safety record
  • Strong commitment to our Corporate Code of Conduct and Workplace Culture Guiding Principles
